Jason is a nationally recognized federal and state government relations consultant and founder of Terrapin, a hybrid AI and web3 government relations startup. A Minnesota native and Marine Corps veteran, Jason served two combat tours as a Scout following 9/11. After completing his degree at Metro State University in St. Paul, he began his career in the U.S. House of Representatives working on transportation and infrastructure, immigration, trade, defense, and foreign policy. He served as Legislative Director for U.S. House Majority Whip Tom Emmer and helped launch the Congressional Blockchain Caucus. He later managed the emerging-technology policy team at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University focused on fintech and the gig economy, and served as Executive Vice President of Capitol Core Group. In 2022 Jason founded Terrapin, which puts AI and blockchain government-relations tools into the hands of businesses and individuals. He advises 2 Degree Shift on public-sector engagement and the regulatory environment shaping AI adoption.
