About Us

We are an Independent Publisher and advocate for accessibility-compliant, multiple track pathways to engage learners. 

Article 23 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states:

Wording of Article 23 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: Everyone has the right to work. To free choice of employment. To just and favorable conditions of work, and to protection against unemployment. Everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work.

At 2 Degree Shift, we believe all learners, regardless of background, or ability is deserving of access to education pathways that lead to fulfilling, well-paying jobs.

Ways we Serve Schools/Districts:

  • Securing Grant Funding
  • Developing Career Technical Education Pathways
  • Publishing Engaging Textbooks, Assessments, Work-based Learning, and Online Communities
  • Implementing Pathways (including all things curriculum, construction, budgets, and professional development)
  • Creating Innovative CTE Support Programs for Students and Teachers
  • Supporting Districts as Community College liaison (articulation and dual enrollment)

Current Contributions

Our current contributions with Downey Unified School District include:

  • Outdoor Welding lab at Columbus High School, curriculum, pathway, and articulation with Cerritos College
  • Advanced Manufacturing labs at Downey and Warren high schools, curriculum, pathway, and articulation with Cerritos College
  • Alternative Fuels Service Technician lab at Downey High School, curriculum, pathway, and dual enrollment with Cerritos College
  • Plastics Engineering and Sustainability lab at Warren High School, curriculum, pathway, and articulation with Cerritos College
  • Game Development: Computer Science pathway at Downey and Warren high schools
  • Mechatronics lab at Warren High School, pathway and articulation

In addition, we create programs, projects, and products to support all students in academic and career preparation. Our current contributions with Downey Unified School District include:

  • Advanced Placement college credit in CTE as AP Seminar for CTE and AP Research for CTE (in progress at https://AP4CTE.org/)
  • Advanced CTE Mathematics with work-based learning + technology practice to develop a mental model for utilizing Integrated III level math (in progress at https://Math4CTE.org/)
  • OER Publishing for high schools and colleges at (in progress at https://OER4CTE.org/)
